Ripples

Ripples is the new five part series which Peter Birt will bring to Parkerville Baptist Church starting on Sunday 11 April.

Influence

All of us have the opportunity to influence others to experience the journey with God that we have experienced. Jesus told us that we should be like light and salt in helping others to look towards God and what he has done.

Grow

Encouragement to continue the j0urney of growth God already has began in us, is an important part of why we meet together. We believe that God is asking all of us to take definable, manageable steps forward as we grow on life’s journey.

Serve

An opportunity to serve is an important part of living out the New Testament’s mandate to use our spiritual gifts, our time and our resources in a way that makes a lasting difference and also recognizes that they are given to us by God to be used as he directs us.

Belong

A sense of belonging is the essence of what community should be. We encourage people to belong by making friends, joining small groups, serving alongside others and attending our services. Having a place to belong gives us the opportunity to practice the exhortations of how to treat ‘one another’ from the New Testament and also creates an environment to encourage others along their journey.

Sunday Mornings

8.30AM

Are you up early and ready to worship God with the sunrise?  Then maybe the 8.30am service is for you.  Stay for a coffee afterwards and catch up with friends between services.
We run the same format at 10.30am, including children’s activities and crèche, so you won’t miss anything by coming early.  In fact, you’ve got the whole day ahead to enjoy!

10.30AM

If you’ve got teenagers between Years 7 and 9, you might like to add the 10.30am service to your calendar as Teen Group runs during this service.  All other children’s activities and crèche run at both services.
The 10.30am service is vibrant and full of energy as people gather from all over the eastern suburbs to worship God together.  Come for coffee before the service, or stay afterwards to catch up with friends.

Special Events

From time to time we run social events which are aimed at building up the community at Parkerville.  These events will be advertised as they’re planned.

Connections

We recognise that becoming part of a new community can be daunting, but at Parky we’re committed to helping you make connections.  Whether you want to ask a question, meet some new friends, or get involved in one of our groups and activities, we’ll be delighted to help.

Church Care

From time to time, people fall onto hard times and need some support.  Be it short-term home help, meals, yard-work and the like, ChurchCare is there to help you get back on your feet.

Home Groups

Belonging is important to us and we have a variety of groups you can join.  In a group, you can expect to be encouraged, as part of a small community, to grow spiritually in all areas of life, a place where you can care for others and be cared for by others.   God is for us, and we are for him and for one another.
